Kala Ankur Academy
for Fine and Performing Arts
After so many years of activities on and off stage, Kala Ankur strongly felt the need of a training centre in the field of fine and performing arts where the young talent can be groomed in a professional way thereby giving them the right direction in their desired fields.
20th October 2004 was the auspicious day when the office of Kala Ankur Sansthan and the Academy for Fine and Performing Arts was inaugurated.
Initially foundation courses in light/classical vocal music, instrumental music and dance were launched. The professional courses in Kathak Dance and Classical Music were also commenced from 1st May 2005 under the guidance and supervision of noted kathak dancer Mrs Anita Ordia and noted Classical singer and trainer Mrs. Shyamal Navre.

These programs organized under the ‘Riyaaz’ series are well planned and rehearsed and are executed almost fully by the students. This has resulted in a number of good performers for our main stage.

Subjects like stories, poetry, fiction etc. in all Indian languages and English, are touched in the activities of Vimarsh. It has attracted the attention of the litterateurs in the city.
